SLS3 Compression - How much?

Compression is measured in mmHg. This stands for millimeters (mm) of mercury (Hg) and is the average measurement of compression firmness at the ankle.
There are different levels of compression possible.

8-15mmHg offers a very, very mild compression. It's preventative and helps with minor fatigue and cramps.

15-20mmHg offers firmer compression. It helps with mild foot and leg swelling, tired and achy legs, and prevents several mild varicose problems.

20-30mmHg is where SLS3 comes in. SLS3 Compression Sox average around 24-26mmHg.  This is considered firm compression that helps with severe swelling, reversible  lymphoedema,  moderate to severe fatigue and cramps, and severe vein insufficiency.

Above this there is yet more compression to be had BUT it is for medical indication such as irreversible lymphoedema and elephantiasis.

What is my size?

The SLS3 Compression sox come in four different sizes. They are constructed to fit both men and women. Please choose according to your shoe size. 

  • XS/S = Women 6-8
  • S/M = Men 7-9/Women 8-10
  • M/L = Men 9-11/Women 10-12
  • L/XL = Men 11-13

If you find yourself to be borderline between two sizes, please choose the smaller size if you have slender calves, and choose the larger size if you have very strong and muscular calves.

    after suffering with numerous injuries ie: achilles problems and inflammation of the metatarsils, I bought a pair of the sls3 socks to try. I am very happy I did as they also seem to alleviate the aching calves after my dance sessions and I feel they are very supportive.

    Had been roped into running a half marathon by some mates and due to the short lead up I struggled to keep the legs injury free and after buying the socks it got me through and I completed the half marathon. I now use them on most runs as they give me extra confidence that I won't blow a calve muscle etc.

    Since purchasing my SLS3 Compression socks I have not looked back. They feel absolutely fantastic on. I now wear them on absolutely every run I do and wear them post run to to aide in recovery. I no longer have that post run leg heaviness and find relief from my varicose veins in my calf muscles.

    They are easy to put on and don't slide down when I am running. They also feel cool which was a concern of mine considering we are heading into the warmer months.

    I love them so much I will be purchasing a black pair as well shortly

    Wow, excellent and more. I was always sceptical about compression gear. I've changed my mind. Went out on my first 90min run with these and I'm converted. Although tight top put on (I need to sort that out for racing) I found the biggest impact was that everything else hurt except my calves! I didn't want to take them off as the recovery was nice. The day after was even more noticeable. A must have (now I'm looking at thigh ones !

    I love my SLS3 socks! I wear them for all my bike and run training sessions and I wear them in all my races. I won 5 Ironmans in 2008 wearing my SLS3 socks. In fact, I rarely take them off! I even wore them under my wedding dress at our wedding last year!

    I love the support they give me. I absolutely believe they work for me and cannot imagine my life without them.
