Endurance Planner Sprint Triathlon Training Workload

Level 1 programs (13 weeks long) will suit if you have limited athletic background before beginning the program. The exercise intensity is generally easy to moderate and will focus on building your aerobic fitness and endurance. The training load is relatively light and spread equally between swimming, cycling and running. You will progress each week, have fun with your training and stay motivated toward your goal event.

Level 2 programs (also 13 weeks in duration) are designed for the active person with a background in sports, doing their first triathlon, or for an experienced triathlete looking to improve, through structured training or a new approach. These programs have some moderately hard training intensities, without unnecessary fatigue & injury risk. Athletes following a Level 2 program will continually experience an increase in strength, endurance and a new level of triathlon specific fitness on race day.

Level 3 programs, which are 6 weeks for the Sprint distance and 10 weeks for the Olympic, will take training to a whole new level. For athletes looking to build on previous triathlon experience and who have performance based goals. Training intensities for most workouts are moderate to hard and will provide an increase in aerobic capacity, muscular endurance, power and overall speed in your racing.

Endurance Planner is a PC based software designed by triathletes and professional coaches, for managing and recording endurance sport training and race preparation.

Season Planning Wizard - A step by step process to customize your personal Training Program
  • Enter your planned start and end date.

  • Move workouts within your week, using drag and drop technology, to suit your own needs.
  • Access to ‘program builder wizard’ for editing or adding to your program.
  • Print a PDF of your program to ‘stick on the fridge’ or as a paper copy to follow and log your training when traveling without your computer.
  • Access to training log and also daily log of ‘personal values’.
  • Add a performance measure from any workout, for quick access and comparison at a later date.
  • View a planned v actual (hours) graph as you train through your season.
Athlete Log - This is a feature rich training log where you can analyze every aspect of your training:
  • Log your workouts, races, performance measures and daily personal information, such as sleep, feeling, resting heart rate and weight.
  • Log Overview, here you can view weekly sport and overall totals.  Simply selecting a week displays the entire week’s training and logged data.
  • Weekly Graph View, here you can analyze weekly training volumes per sport and compare this to weekly averages of the daily log values (any or all of: Resting Heart Rate, Weight, Feeling and Hours of sleep).
  • Daily Graph View, here you can analyze daily log values against each other, and against the overall daily training volume.
  • Performance Measure grid. Filter and sort any of the ‘Performance Measures’ you have logged against a workout and compare it to Measures of the same type throughout the months / years of your training.
  • Race Results log, here you can view your race results throughout the season and year on year. Monitor your progress. Log your split times and transitions, placing and notes on the race.
Import Modules - Import Packages to enhance your workout library & template selection or follow a personalized program constructed by an Endurance Planner Certified Coach.
Coach Access and Training Material - Owners of Endurance Planner have access to our coaching staff via the owner’s forum for the training questions and season planning inquiries.

    After 2 seasons using a coach, I’ve decided (given current economics) to use Endurance Planner. I like the program and the training plans look spot on
