The Pro 3 Race Tyre has multiple rubber compounds in a single tyre. In the case of the Michelin Pro3 Race tire, Michelin engineers specified a 6mm band of super grip rubber on each tyre shoulder. The result is a dramatic increase in cornering adhesion, by as much as 27%! - compared to Michelin Pro2 Race tires at a 30° angle at 35 km/h.
Treadwear in the center of the tire equals that of the standardsetting Michelin Pro 2 Race tyre, but with a 20% increase in grip, thanks to a special silicium compound. The Michelin Pro 3 Race tire helps elevate both safety and performance to new levels.

I have used the Michelin Pro Race for a while and the Pro 3 are another good example.
Don't make the mistake of thinking these are for training otherwise you'll go through a few. There are other better Michelins on the market for training - the Lithon (cheap) or the Kyrilon (bullet proof !!)
For racing though these are the ones - light and fast
